Intelligent environmental monitoring is key to maintaining the health of your data center or IT lab. Get the tools you need now with our environment management solution.

Solution Overview Brochure

With servers generating more heat than ever and rack densities on the rise, hot spots are a natural by-product of the demands of modern computing.

Fortunately, Raritan offers an intelligent environment management solution that not only helps you identify potential trouble areas, but also helps you save energy and maintain a safe environment for your IT equipment.

Our solution brings together the power of Raritan’s PX® intelligent PDUs, environmental sensors and Power IQ®, our award-winning energy management software.

Raritan’s family of intelligent rack iPDUs and inline meters are designed to accept our plug-and-play environmental sensors – temperature, humidity, air flow and air pressure. Placed strategically in your cold air and hot air aisles, at the top, middle and bottom of the rack, and cool air plenums and vents, the information gathered by our sensors is sent via the iPDUs to be recorded and analyzed by our energy management software.

Our environment management solution also helps you become more efficient in your energy consumption with:

  • Cooling charts that show if you are compliant with industry and internal guidelines
  • Tools that calculate possible energy savings from simply increasing rack temperatures
  • Alerts that notify you if conditions exceed pre-set limits
  • Software that allows you to chart trends over time

Hot spots. May be good for nightlife, but not for data centers and IT labs. So take the first step towards eliminating them by scheduling an environment management solution test drive now.

“Data center managers can save up to 3 percent in energy costs for every degree of upward change in the baseline temperature, known as a set point. The higher set point means less frequent use of air conditioning, which saves the energy used to run cooling systems.”
