Active Energy Manager extends the scope of energy management to include non-IBM servers and facility providers to enable a more complete view of energy consumption within the datacenter. Active Energy Manager is an IBM Systems Director extension that supports the following endpoints: IBM BladeCenter®, Power Systems, System x, and System z servers. IBM storage systems and non-IBM platforms can be monitored through Raritan’s PX Intelligent Power Distribution Units, which provide outlet level active power metering of individual servers and data center devices.

DCiM provides both real-time dashboards as well as historical trending and analysis. DCiM for Power Strip Management provides all the same data extraction, aggregation and analytic capabilities as the full edition, but is focused on iPDU management.
