Event Log Settings Window Allows users to configure event logging, including selecting the desired events and entering the e-mail address for notifications or other standards-based methods for storing events. For example, you can configure Dominion PX to alert someone via e-mail when critical rack temperature thresholds are achieved or PDU power consumption is nearing critical and will soon trip a circuit if not attended to. You can also configure it to simply store the event in an NFS log or forward to an SNMP enterprise management system.

Outlet Setup Window Allows users to give each outlet a name to help identify the connected devices and to set non-critical and critical thresholds. For example, if the non-critical threshold for outlet #2 is set at 3.0 amps, and the device plugged into outlet #2 draws 3.4 amps, the LED for outlet #2 will flash red because the actual current draw is greater than the threshold. And, an e-mail alert would be sent if desired.

User/Group Outlet Permissions Window Allows administrators to set up outlet-level access and permissions for individual user and user groups. This provides the ability to segregate outlets to specific types of users or groups of users within departments. For example, Cisco admins only have access to control or switch outlets that Cisco equipment is plugged into.
